Con-Tech is open and working full time doing our part in continuing essential functions and services vital to our nation. Due to the extraordinary commitment of our staff and the blessings of modern technology, we are receiving and handling orders as normal, as well as making and receiving shipments daily.
Our ports remain open and functional, together with critical shipping, rail and trucking lines. The numerous national warehouses handling Con-Tech goods remain fully staffed and operational. Our inventory is strong across many product lines, while our manufacturing partners in China and Taiwan have returned to full production and shipment. Where our international partners have experienced a temporary hiatus in production, many have committed to round the clock production once operations resume.
The drum industry is an essential industry, which is considered necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, and for supply chains associated with transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, and chemical manufacturing, among many others. Additionally, it is needed to maintain the continuity of these manufacturing functions and associated supply chains.
CISA, the Cyber and Infrastructure department of the U.S. government, has an updated list and description of what an essential industry is. Con-Tech is proud to do its part during this pandemic and assist in getting goods moved safely.
We have the utmost concern for our employees, friends and family and have therefore asked all office employees to work from home in the coming days. As an essential industry, our warehouse continues to operate, following all CDC protocols.
Our team now conducts virtual meetings via Zoom, much of our paperwork is done electronically and we’ve welcomed a few new temporary staff such as three-year-old Gabriel who, despite missing pre-school, likes staying home with his mom!
During this difficult time, Con-Tech reminds everyone to practice social distancing and shelter in home, wash hands, wipe surfaces and only venture out for necessities. We look forward to continued success in the future.
